We research about usage of polystyrene from ump student at cafeteria kolej kediaman 2 UMP about bad effects of using polystyrene food container to their health and
environment. For this time,all cafeteria operators at Kolej Kediaman 2, UMP use polystyrene as food container.
1.2 Problem Statement
We conduct this study to realize cafeteria operators and students at Kolej Kediaman 2, UMP about bad effects of using polystyrene food container to their health and environment.For this time,all cafeteria operators at Kolej Kediaman 2, UMP use polystyrene as food container.
1.3 Research Objective
From this research, there are two objectives that want to achieve. Firstly, to know whether students at Kolej Kediaman 2, UMP think about bad effects when using polystyrene as food container.Secondly, want to find out the quantity or amount of polystyrene ( food container) that are use averagely for 1 semester studies.

During make this research study, there are two research question. First, is to find are UMP students at KK2 thinks about the bad effects of using polystyrene food container.Second, to find out the other alternatives that can replace the polystyrene food container.
1.5 Definition of Terms
Polystyrene: Polystyrene is a polymer of styrene and a rigid transparent thermoplastic. "expanded polystyrene looks like a rigid white foam and is used as packing or insulation". Environment: Environment can be consists of water, air and land. Polystyrene is one of the products that can bring bad effect to the environment. This shows why polystyrene and environment are related with each other.
1.6 Review of Methodology
For our study, we have chosen the survey method as the methodology. This survey will conduct within one to two weeks. The respondent would be the community at Kolej Kediaman 2 (KK2), specially the students that always buy food from the cafeteria. We will give the questionnaire randomly to 80 students. In the questionnaire, there will be 2 sections that consist of 13 questions that need to answer. The questionnaire that we have made is regarding to the research objective of the study. All the questionnaire will be collected immediately after respondent finish answer the question. From the entire collected questionnaire, we will gather the data and transfer the data to the table that consists of quantity of respondents and quantity of variables in our questionnaire.
1.7 Organization of Chapter
This topic will briefly discuss about content that have in chapter 1 until chapter 3. In chapter 1 content about background information, problem statement definition of term, research question and research objective.For chapter 2 is about review of literature that are collected through the article, journal and other. From all of these kind information, the important input have been collected and we have made summary according our own opinion.For the chapter 3, it discuss more about the method or instrument to make this research including description of participant, data collection method and data analysis method.
